The Kohler Lyric® Workstation and Task™ Accessorized Stainless Steel Kitchen Sinks were created to fill the gap between entry-level fabricated sinks and multi-feature varieties that can run thousands of dollars. In my design process, I created many low- and high-fidelity mockups to explore and refine the relationship between the sink and accessories (which I, unfortunately, cannot share). Task™
This fabricated stainless steel sink features a beveled edge to support custom-fit accessories designed for everyday food prep tasks. The bamboo cutting board and colander stack and slide along the sink rim, providing additional prep surface above the sink. Lyric®
Lyric® Workstation features a ledge to support custom-fit accessories. Just like Task™, the acacia wood cutting board and grey polypropylene colander set fit snugly into the sink ledge, creating a versatile kitchen work surface.
